After a life-time pursuit of knowledge, Ron encounters an Ancient Gold Dragon named Nogard Dlog who invites him to his lair deep in the mountain. There he spent several years in the dragon’s tutelage studying lore and the ways of the universe. As the proverbial capstone, the dragon tasked him with the creation of a wondrous item, imbued with the power of knowledge and understanding. It took months to fashion gem and set the needed rituals in place. As a last gift, Nogard Dlog took the gem and filled it with his own knowledge until the amber gem began to glow deep within its core. The dragon cautioned him though that once he wore it, he would be changed forever and that there was no turning back; if at any point the amulet was removed, he would be lost forever in the abyss of his mind.
So Ron donned the amulet without hesitation and the dragon gave him a new name: Dagron the Evoker.
As Dagron descended the mountain the knowledge and memories of the dragon began flooding his mind. His body tightened on him, almost atrophied, to compensate for the growth of his mind. In contemplating his purpose, he knew that his pursuit of knowledge had only just begun.
