Jäksküt is the archaeologist aboard the Citrouille de la Mer. Not officially a member of the crew. She wears Dracheneisen armour, and wields a Panzerhand. She’s adept at punching lots of things.
Jäksküt comes from a notable noble family in Eisen, a life she left behind to pursue archaeology, much to her family’s shame and disappointment. She has almost no relationship or contact with her family as a result.
Jäksküt is fascinated by history, wanting to learn everything about it, and maybe even be the first to discover something lost to time. She loves reading and collecting history books, and items of historical significance.
Barnaby Langstrom-Athers is Jäksküt’s patron in the Explorer’s Guild, funding her expeditions. They met at a ball in Eisen, and she jumped at the first chance to leave her old life behind and begin unearthing history herself and not just reading about it. The two have a very professional-only relationship.
She met the crew on La Bucca while trying to convince the Pirate Lord, Allende, to allow her to explore the ruins there. A few days after she arrived, Castille began launching an attack on La Bucca. A deal was struck that she could explore the ruins in exchange for helping out with repelling the Castillean assault. Shortly after, a deal was struck with the Pumpkiteers to escort her into the ruins in exchange for a portion of the loot.
Jäksküt at first struggled to come to grips with the idea of her having an impact on history, much preferring to observe and take notes than actively partake. She decided to follow the Pumpkiteers around, having heard tales of their exploits in reshaping the world, and figuring she could be the first to accurately log the full details of every adventure.
