Melruth is a tall, Deva of medium build. His hair is dark with streaks of silver; eyes piercing green… His features are like an old statue, ageless in appearance. The light red markings across his body and face stand out from the white coloration of his skin. His feathers adorning his ornamental wings are the same light red as his markings. When asked about them, he just states “Without them, it feels like a limb is missing.” The Deva is an old spirit following the commands of Selûne. To find, accumulate, study, and share skill as an Avenger of Selûne is his great passion. He remembers glimpses of past lives where he studied as a warrior, and even learned the lessons of hunting as a ranger among the elves. To him, this life another opportunity to learn what Selûne would have of him and to share his life and adventures with those of like mind and passions. This life, he has traveled though the realms seeking those to help him fill in some of the missing memories of his past… he has spent long hours in meditation seeking Selûne’s will for him, and has received the answer; "The time is not yet for you to know, seek the path and friends you will find on your journey and you will find both your past and your future…" He is content with this, but still yearns to know why parts of his recent life are so vague to him… his great concern is that he may have failed in his duty and is somehow to find a way to put right that which was left undone… His great sword, is his constant companion, often carrying it in his hands, rather than in the sheath at his back. It is one of the few items he awoke with and is skilled with it as many of his race and calling are. He is most content in the night, reveling in the light of Selûne. He is gentle and respectful of those of like alignment, but patient with those who are not… he loves to sing and make light of travel; often singing songs of past heroes and battles. He is careful around those who are not as long-lived as he, saddened by their short lives, but amazed at how much they live it. This is what draws him to those not of his race – passion and intensity of life. He is especially fond of those who laugh and find life exciting. Always respectful of women, he respects their unique strengths and has learned never to underestimate their skills. He is at home with elves and humans, finds dwarves far too serious, and is generally excited about traveling to new planes, especially if it means finding a sworn enemy marked by Selûne. He is comfortable on ships at sea (“It is like flying low…”), but not in caves (“Why would anyone live in the dark and not want to see the Selûne’s light?”).
Starbrow has recently discovered a Greatsword pommel with an embeded gemstone bearing the symbol of his goddess. This is an encouraging sign to him that he is with the right company of adventures and is soon to discover more concerning the missing parts of his memory… patient and hopeful, he sings the song of Selune.
