Thereal's Bio
I’m a life-long D&D player, having been introduced to the game at six years old. It wasn’t a very auspicious beginning, as I was roped into my older uncle’s game. I was to play his group’s puppet cleric, who just healed whomever they instructed. Unfortunately I confused my character’s “Spell List” for a collection of the words my character knew how to spell. “Resurrection” is an impressive word to a young kid, even when he doesn’t know what it means. Needless to say that I didn’t last long as a cleric. I wanted to play a ninja anyway.
In the years since I have played each version of the game including and post-dating AD&D 2nd Edition. I have DMed and played, exploring the many elements available – even trying my hand at playing clerics again. Which is far more enjoyable when one understands concepts such as literacy versus magic, and that Resurrection is quite handy – and not a very impressive word.
But, even two decades later, I’ve yet to play my ninja.
