I’m a gamer/game master in Minneapolis, MN. I’ve been GM-ing for about 14 years now. When I’m running a tabletop RPG, my primary concern is the freedom that the characters are allowed. I’m predisposed to dislike extremely tactical and rigid rules systems. (Though there are plenty of exceptions.) For me, the purpose of any roleplaying game is cooperative storytelling. I do away with any rules, guidelines, or mechanics that get in the way of an extremely imaginative storytelling experience.
