I’m a newer DM who began playing D&D 5e in 2019 and DMing sporadically in 2020 to support my husband, who was going through DM burnout at the time. I began a monthly Curse of Strahd campaign in 2021. As happens with many groups, real life and scheduling issues eventually claimed this campaign in October 2023. I also began a weekly Lost Mine of Phandelver campaign in November 2022. Real life and player health issues forced this campaign into retirement in April 2024. I’m currently experimenting with solo gaming, and I plan to play out Lost Mine of Phandelver on my own.

I’m also a player in a monthly Rime of the Frost Maiden campaign, where I play a goliath hexblade warlock. I tend to favor rogues and barbarians, but I’m starting to become more proficient with casters as my warlock becomes more powerful. I’m generating a few dungeons for a solo campaign focused on a warlock who will eventually supplant his patron, similar to a Sith master and apprentice in Star Wars.

I have boundless ideas, but I don’t have nearly enough time to run all the games kicking around in my noggin, nor do I have enough friends who are interested to fill out 15+ campaigns. I don’t mind the idea of playing something other than 5e, but I really don’t have much experience with other TTRPGs in general.
