I’ve been playing DnD for almost nine years now. I started in high school with a few of my friends. Our first game actually had the DM trying to kill us from the start. (Not that that is a bad thing in a game, but when it’s everyone’s first time playing…) Looking back on it after it was over I still can’t figure out a why that would have let us get through the dungeon live. At least we got good death scenes. Since we started playing we created several homebrew games. Most were pretty balanced except for one which had the GM nerfing armor three or four times and rolling a d100 to hit us.
When I got to college I fell into a gaming group. We all started out as freshmen there, but the group morphed over the first two years into a permanent group. And we have gamed since then together. It’s because of this group that I discovered this site and a number of other tools, that have allowed us to continue gaming over the last year.
I have played everything from homebrew games, Dungeons and Dragons 3-4ed., Star Wars d20, Star Wars Saga, Exalted, and Exalted 2ed (one of my personal favorite settings). I am by no means a great character creator, I don’t even think I could create a broke character if I tried, but I enjoy coming up with new characters to play.
More recently I’m attempting to work some magic as a GM. I’m starting with the Scales of War adventure path as I don’t have too much free time on hand. However, I am adding elements to the campaign to make it feel more like my own creation.
And that is me.
