I love role-playing games and think that everyone should play them, or run them. What more could you want..? A social gathering, a group activity, some kind of gaming and storytelling, good availability of snacks and alcoholic beverages. Crack on.

I’ve run; Too Good to Be True (Powered by the Apocalypse), RuneQuest: Role-Playing in Glorantha, Legend of the Five Rings, Savage Worlds: Pirates of the Spanish Main, Barebones Fantasy, tiny bit of D&D 5E and even the old, very basic Fighting Fantasy RPG, way back in the day.

I’ve been fortunate enough to play; Mythic Bastionland, Dungeon World, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk 2020, Worlds Without Number, Warhammer Fantasy Role-Play, Dark Heresy, Only War, Microscope, ShadowDark, D&D Basic, 4E & 5E, Dungeon Crawl Classics.

I want to/will be running these in the future, hopefully; Beam Sabre, Apocalypse World: Fallen Empires 2E Iron Age Celtic re-skin, Agon, Mouse Guard, Burning Empires… And any number of idly-dreamed-up, reskinned or badly hacked things.
I’m odd in that I didn’t get anywhere near D&D until I’d been role-playing for a few years as an adult, so for me it’s no sacred cow, whatsoever. Sorry! It’s fine though, I’ll never turn down an RPG and I love that it’s a good ‘in’ for a lot of role-players, but do play or run something else too, eh?
