I'm a technical writer by trade and have been doing so for over 17 years now. I wrote four modules for the RPGA's Living Greyhawk campaign (Bandit Kingdoms region), averaging one a year until the switch to LFR in 2008. I've been playing RPGs since 1977, starting with the first AD&D box set (Holmes edition).
I had a long-standing campaign I ran using the Fantasy Hero rules from HERO Games that ran from the late 80's to the 2000s. I also ran a Champions game, The Bold and The Determined. I once ran AEG's World's Largest Dungeon, finishing after two years of play and vowing to never do that again.
I stopped running campaigns for a while to write a science fiction novel. I was partially successful (I finished writing it, but it wasn’t really a story, just a sequence of events). I’m now playing in a couple campaigns (Adventure Earth Campaign is starting to reach a campaign crescendo) and co-running/playing in a Shadowrun campaign documented on my blog, Bugbears for Breakfast (now running quiet). During my “copious free time” (ha-ha) I’m working on two different novels that are actually stories and are shaping up very well (hence the blog going quiet). Ask me about them in Summer 2018 and I’ll point you to where they get published.
